Before working in healthcare management and founding Evolution Healthcare Consulting, Susan first established her career in public and hospital accounting.
She is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives.
Susan also serves as the North Carolina Forum Representative for
(ACMPE) American College of Medical Practice Executives.
Susan’s background and experience covers; New Practice Start Up, EHR Systems Selection and Negotiations, Payer Negotiations, A/R - Revenue Cycle, Internal Controls, Job Description Analysis and Patient Flow.
Susan is a local and national speaker on critical healthcare topics from patient flow to accounts receivables to EMR.
Susan also serves on local, state and national boards and committees including North Carolina and National MGMA
Ms. Childs has co-authored and contributed to publications including;
Dermatoloogy World, Orthopedics Today, Journal of Medical Practice Management, and The American Medical Association.
Susan also works as an independent consultant with the MGMA
Consulting Group on specific projects.
