Documentation & Coding Assessment

MAG Mutual HealthCare Solutions, Inc. (MMHSI), your medical publication and practice consulting resource, presents an on-site assessments that addresses your questions about documentation and coding. After this on-site review we will sit with you and your staff to develop documentation tools specific to your specialty and style.

Key Elements Include:

  • Evaluating your current documentation and code selection
  • Developing documentation templates to help ensure compliance
  • Review and/or implementing an effective billing compliance plan
  • Reviewing your billing, collections and A/R ratios
  • Training your staff to assist you in converting work into money

Step 1: Documentation and Coding Review
The consultant will review top services provided and compare documentation with corresponding code selection.

Step 2: Creating template to assist with code selection
We will help develop “templates” to help you specifically document appropriately the services you provide.

Step 3: Compliance Plan
MMHSI can help you develop and/or review your practice compliance plan to help ensure it is appropriate and effective.

Step 4: Billing and Collection Ratios
Its one thing for the doctor to document and code correctly, it’s another for the staff to convert that into legitimate revenue. MMHSI will evaluate your billing process to ensure it is not only timely but accurate.

Step 5: Staff Training
MMHSI will work with your staff so they can see the process we use to help ensure the appropriate conversion of provider work into money. We will help them establish goals for the practice and meet those goals daily, weekly, monthly and annually.

Step 6: Physician Close Out
The consultant will review a summary of recommendations with physicians and management.
